Carey Hardin is Associate Professor of media and communication at Miami University in Ohio and adjunct associate professor of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Notre Dame. She holds a Ph.D. in communication and cultural studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as a B.A. in mathematics. Her research centers on intersections of culture, economy, and technology. Carey has trained entrepreneurs, data scientists, public figures, and business executives in effective presentations, conflict communication, team building, and communicating across socio-cultural divides. Carey specializes in data storytelling, audience analysis, leadership communication, and alliance building.
